- The use of Alpha EFA in pregnancy and lactation has not been scientifically evaluated. Its content of essential fatty acids does not exceed acceptable dietary doses.
- Sea buckthorn flavones may have an additive effect on blood pressure medications, specifically ACE inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers.
- Sea buckthorn flavones may have an additive effect on anticoagulant medications.
- Sea buckthorn oil may inhibit the cytotoxic effects of chemotherapeutic agents, specifically cyclophosphamide and farmorubicin.
