Description
MEBO Wound Ointment is a 100% natural ointment with ingredients used in Traditional Chinese Practice (TCP) to heal minor skin wounds. Assists healing of minor skin pressure sores, decubitus ulcers and bedsores. The ointment’s wound healing properties help to calm redness, support skin regeneration, hydrate, soothe and relieve chafing, nappy rash, itching, insect bites, stings, dry and cracked skin.
Suitable for use with young children and during pregnancy.
Ingredients
MEBO Wound Ointment is a 100% natural ointment.
Each gram of ointment contains concentrated liquid extract equivalent to:
- 55mg Coptis chinensis dry rhizome
- 55mg Phellodendron chinense dry stem bark
- 55mg Scutellaria baicalensis dry root
The ointment base contains sesame oil and beeswax.
After cleaning the wound, apply ointment up to 1mm thickness over the affected area. Every four to six hours or as pain persists, gently remove any wound by-products, residual ointment and reapply. Take care to avoid irritating the damaged skin. DO NOT use any other agents to clean the wound after initial cleansing. It is important to keep the wound moist with MEBO Wound Ointment at all times.
Dressing instruction
To further protect the affected area, a dressing can be applied. Apply MEBO Wound Ointment as above. Impregnate one to two layers of sterile gauze with MEBO Wound Ointment and place over wound. Cover with an outer bandage to hold in place. Dressing changes should be done daily to ensure the wound remains moist with MEBO Wound Ointment at all times.
Product care
High temperatures or excessive handling may alter the consistency of the ointment. This will not alter the ointment’s function or efficacy. To return the ointment to its normal state, immerse the upright tube in hot water for one to two minutes. Allow to cool, standing the tube on its top. Keep sealed and store below 30°C.
Precautions
Stop using if allergic or adverse reaction occurs.
Do not use if allergic to sesame or beeswax.

Shelf life
36 months from the date of manufacture. See expiry date on the bottom of the pack and on the tube crimp.
