Acetyl-L-Tyrosine is an acetylated form of the amino acid L-Tyrosine with nootropic effects.

  • Tyrosine helps make dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenaline, thyroid hormones and Melanin.
  • N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine (NALT) is a form of the amino acid L-Tyrosine. The addition of an acetyl group to L-Tyrosine makes it more bioavailable than supplementing with L-Tyrosine.
  • The brain uses the enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase to convert L-Tyrosine to L-Dopa.
  • NALT stimulates production of thryoid hormones.

Warnings

NALT quickly converts to the nonessential amino acid L Tyrosine.
At higher doses there are reports of stomach issues or migraines.
NALT can increase thyroid hormones. So avoid in hyperthyroidism
Patients on MAO inhibitors - use caution and work with the prescribing Dr.
Do not use if tamper evident seal is broken or missing.
