You can expect a slightly bitter taste, which is typical of herbal extracts and all of their goodness.

Directions 

Adult dosage - Using the measured dropper take 2.25mL daily, one hour before bed, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Drop directly onto the tongue or dilute in 30mL of water or juice and consume immediately. Shake well before use.

Valeriana officinalis (Valerian) root ext. liquid 2mL, derived from dry 2g 

Also contains glycerol and peppermint oil

No added gluten, dairy, lactose, soy, egg, artificial colours or artificial flavours
